FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD...
Yonder is an idyllic patch of land that has been in the family for 3 generations and is loaded with memories, It is an enchanting place above the clouds and close to the sky, with magnificent views in all directions. This piece of paradise is isolated and at times difficult to access, hence its name
“Yonder” i.e. “over there in the distance”.

A third of the farm has been used to grow pine trees, gums, avocados and now Macadamia nuts. The rest is the home of majestic centenary trees that, like gentle giants, guard over tree ferns and indigenous bush on steep south facing slopes. Nature has its play !
Yonder has been a blissful retreat for young and old to find themselves and to bond.

The Cloesiana trees were planted as fire breaks in the 1940s. They were felled more than 20 years ago after which the stumps aged in the humid ferralitic soils for another two decades. Exposing them made us discover yet again the incredible creativity and artistry of nature. The inspiration for coffee tables was born.
Each piece surprised us by its shape that no human hand could have created better.

The soiled surfaces of selected stumps are sandblasted before the tricky process of cutting and levelling the stem and roots to obtain a perfect horizontal profile. The wood is extremely hard and resistant to termites and borers resulting in a long lasting unique piece of furniture that will stand the test of time.
